AFC Wimbledon

AFC Wimbledon was founded in 2022 by fans. The new, fan-owned club started in the ninth tier of English football and achieved six promotions in 13 seasons, reaching League One in 2016, becoming the first club formed in the 21st century to reach the Football League. The club has since played in League Two and League One, recently securing promotion back to League One in the 2024-25 season.
